Combustion

Air Distribution

After the heat exchanger has been heated, the next step is to distribute the hot air throughout the home. This is typically accomplished through a system of ducts that run throughout the house, with vents in each room that allow the warm air to flow in.


Air Filter

Before the hot air is distributed throughout the home, it must pass through an air filter. The air filter is designed to remove dust, dirt, and other particles from the air, ensuring that the air circulating throughout the home is clean and healthy.


Thermostat

Finally, the furnace is controlled by a thermostat, which monitors the temperature in the home and adjusts the furnace as needed to maintain the desired temperature. When the temperature drops below the desired level, the thermostat sends a signal to the furnace to begin heating, and when the temperature reaches the desired level, the furnace shuts off.


Maintenance

Maintaining your furnace within your home is vital. Regular maintenance can help ensure that your furnace operates efficiently, which can save you money on your energy bills. When a furnace is dirty or has worn parts, it has to work harder to heat your home, which means it uses more energy and costs you more money.
